A+ Computer Repair and Maintenance
Course description:
This is a FULL year course.
This is NOT a shop class.
This course is designed to teach you the theory and practice of dealing with hardware and software in computers. It looks at the entire spectrum of PC evolution- from DOS to Windows 7, from the 8088 processor to the latest quad-core Intel or AMD CPU. This course explores hardware and software installation and troubleshooting as well as operating systems on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac OS) and networking.
This course is designed to prepare motivated students for the CompTIA A+ hardware and sotware technician exams. There is extensive reading and there is required note taking. There are hands-on lab experiences where space, time and resources permit - but this is by no means the focus of the course.
The Instructor is A+ Certified.
